Emily and Colin met while attending Texas A&amp;M University, where a simple connection grew into a meaningful relationship. Built on humor, stability, and mutual growth, their relationship has carried them through job searches, law school, and the many transitions that come with building a life together. Through it all, they’ve learned that they do life better together. They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people they love most.

We have reserved a room block at the Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen Convention Center — the only hotel block for our wedding weekend. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle from McAllen International Airport; call the hotel after you land to arrange pickup. Shuttle service will also be available throughout the weekend to destinations within a 5-mile radius. Book through the hotel link on this page (Website button).

Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen Convention Center

Our wedding ceremony will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, a place that holds a very special meaning for us. Our priest, Father Snipes, is a wonderful family friend and also an Aggie! Emily attended her very first Aggie Muster with Father Snipes and her grandfather when she was in high school — an experience that helped spark her dream of attending Texas A&amp;M. You may also spot a few friendly dogs wandering around the church grounds — don’t be alarmed, they’re part of the charm! We are so excited to begin our marriage in such a meaningful and welcoming place.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church

Our wedding reception will be held at the Mission Event Center, located just about 10 minutes from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. This is where dinner, drinks, and dancing will take place following the ceremony. The venue offers plenty of space and parking for guests, making it an easy and convenient place to celebrate together.

McAllen International Airport is the closest and most convenient airport to Mission, with service from United and American Airlines. It’s just a short drive away, making it easy to reach your hotel or the venues by Uber. We highly recommend this option — especially since flights from Houston are quick and easy, at only about 45 minutes.&nbsp;

Harlingen International Airport is a great option for guests flying in, with service from both United and Southwest. It is located about 45 minutes from Mission and will likely require a rental car for getting to and from the wedding events.

If you’re in town for the weekend, one of our must-visit spots is Costa Messa, one of Emily’s favorite Mexican restaurants from home. It’s a local favorite known for its amazing food, great margaritas, and warm atmosphere — perfect for a relaxed meal with family and friends before or after the wedding. We highly recommend stopping by while you’re here!

For a late-night bite (or an early-morning craving!), we highly recommend Taco Palenque. It’s open 24 hours a day and serves some of the best tacos, fajitas, and Mexican comfort food in the Valley. Whether you’re coming from the reception or just craving something delicious, it’s the perfect stop any time of day. (try the Fideo! It's Emily's favorite)

The Loretto at Mission holds a special place in our hearts! It is where Emily and Colin shared their very first meal together when Colin visited the Valley for the first time. It’s a little more upscale, with a creative twist on classic dishes inspired by local Valley flavors. If you’re looking for something a bit nicer while you’re in town, this is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal!
